Overview : Scopes
| |
Content scopes define views
into a LLT-Analyzer database by restricting
which users and software features are considered in software usage costs, charts and
reports. Content scopes may optionally also have a license
model and/or budget model associated with them. Content scopes are defined by
an administrator and are available for use by report-only users and AutoReporter.

Different combinations of the reports available in a set of Web
Tracker reports may be appropriate in different situations (budgeting, vendor negotiating, license
count optimization, departmental chargebacks, joint venture cost division, etc.). Administrators can define
various report scopes, specifying which reports
and which components of included reports will be generated in a particular set of Web
Tracker reports. These report scopes can be used by report-only users as well as the Auto Reporter
component of Auto Tracker.
